The sediment\/green waste co-composting process will produce growing media with better fertility, structure, water holding capacity, aeration, and biological activity than peat and\u00a0coir pith.<\/p>\n<p>Demonstration trials will be conducted growing plants with high added value for the\u00a0European market: Fraser photinia and laurustinus.<\/p>\n<p>The LCA and an economic analysis about the reuse of dredged sediments for the two production processes will be assessed, in order to asees the marketability and replicability of the proposed growing media for professional plant nursery and recontituted soil for soils restoration.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The AGRISED project aims at demonstrate the suitability of dredged sediments to be used with no\u00a0intervention or co-composted with green waste to produce innovative technosols usable in the reclamation of degraded land and brownfields and as innovative growing media for plant nursery.
