LIFE AgriSed at the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority – 1-8 December 2019

During the visit of Dr. Cristina Macci, CNR researcher, to the Environment, Soil and Land-Use Department (Teagasc, Johnstown Castle, Wexford, Ireland) from 1 to 8 December 2019, the activities of the LIFE AgriSed project has been presented to Simon Parker (Postdoc), Amanuel Gebremichael (Postdoc) and David Wal (Senior Research officer). The objectives, the main actions and the expected results of the project have been described.

Furthermore, the issue of dredging sediments and the different possibilities of re-using decontaminated sediments in various environmental sectors has been addressed. In particular, the discussion then shifted to the composting process, to its problems and to some measures to be taken for its success.
