The Italian co-composting trial and the autumn cultivation trials begin

The LIFE AGRISED project takes a great leap forward, thanks to the launch of 3 important experimental tests!

Co-composting of sediments and green waste (Italian trial)

After the conclusion of the authorization process, the co-composting trial based on sediments dredged from the Navicelli canal and green waste recovered from the Pistoia nursery district starts in Italy. These materials have been mixed and placed in the composters prepared at the headquarters of the beneficiary Gorini, where the degradation and maturation process of the AGRISED co-compost started. The beneficiaries of the project will be responsible for monitoring and managing the process.

Italian cultivation trial

Also at the property of the beneficiary Gorini, the Italian cultivation trials started using substrates based on the co-compost obtained from the test conducted by EPS in the Czech Republic and the technosols prepared by the beneficiary MCM Ecosistemi. Agri Vivai took care of the preparation of the different substrate mixtures to be used in the trial, and then it collaborated with Gorini and UNIFI for the potting of the Fraser Photinia e Laurustinus plants.

Czech cultivation trial

Also in the Czech Republic the EPS beneficiary has started the cultivation trial using substrates based on the co-compost obtained from their previous Czech co-composting trial. The Czech cultivation trial will be conducted in greenhouses, and not in the open field, in order to validate the AGRISED substrates also in different environments and processes.
